New hire on-boarding e-Learning

Problem:

The client company works with multiple subcontractors on different projects and found that, while the project team members were experts in their respective fields, they didn’t always feel comfortable with computer tools and particularly new software they hadn’t used before. Since the consultants were collaborating from diverse locations in the world across many time zones, electronic collaboration was key to project success. Consequently, I was asked to create a series of interactive onboarding modules to help new team members get up to speed on the tools they needed to use.

Outcome:

Feedback from users is pre- and post-surveys demonstrate that the training was highly effective. Also, follow-up interviews with stakeholders showed that the on-boarding was successful – new contractors were using the software appropriately without needing extra support.
